@mlv to my business associates, but you can call me Michael Vezie.

The Facts

Listen to the gossip.

Orthodox Christian computer nerd.

Shiny is better.

@bazbt3 And to think, it all started with a theme of "starlight"...

@MrFresh to be fair, I did take a (mostly educated) guess at the last byte.
86789
@MrFresh Oh, you just HAD to nerd-snipe me, didn't you. "Long work day!" (converted in my head)
86745
@mlv So... it's still Wednesday somewhere, right?

Captain Hadron looked at the cards filling the conference room. What did his "birthday" mean anyway, so far away from the only planet where it had meaning. He couldn't refuse them. Leadership classes at the Institute taught how important they were. #WedC

The fattest knight at King Arthur's round table was Sir Cumference. He acquired his size from too much pi.

@bazbt3 "They call Alabama the Crimson Tide, and call me Deacon Blue" --Steely Dan

@bazbt3 Just the one from the song...
85665
@bazbt3 Cue Ringo drum solo...
85466
@bazbt3 And of course I'm going to try to make it about Captain Hadron...

@bazbt3 I'm so old school, I think I've HEARD of 50 Cent (hip hop?), but not The Prodigy. Couldn't name a single song by either one, though.
84606
@bazbt3 I can't recall the last rock concert I attended.

Might have been Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers back in the 90s. I remember getting a good seat. Also remember him comparing the Heartbreakers to a small business (found that interesting).

@bazbt3 Among the ones I recognized, I couldn't see any I'd like to see again. But...did someone mention Talking Heads? Yes, please

@bazbt3 Every time I happen across some music awards show, there are plenty of bands I'd like to see reform.

Oh. You said re-form. Never mind.

@bazbt3 I tend to avoid anything by L. Ron. @schmidt_fu
83818
@schmidt_fu Definitely cleaner, more cerebral, but the underlying message (when they talk about it) is that the Federation is internally peaceful and crime-free (in fact, one TOS episode is about the final "penal colony" where crime is "cured").
83785
@schmidt_fu @bazbt3 Out there, there are no saints, just people-angry, scared, determined people who are going to do whatever it takes to survive, whether it meets with Federation approval or not. 3/3
83784
@schmidt_fu @bazbt3 It's easy to be a saint in paradise, but the Maquis do not live in paradise. Out there in the demilitarized zone all the problems haven't been solved yet. 2/3

@schmidt_fu @bazbt3 Favorite quote from Star Trek DS9: Sisko: Do you know what the trouble is? The trouble is Earth-on Earth there is no poverty, no crime, no war. You look out the window of Starfleet Headquarters and you see paradise. 1/2
