"the Switch has now sold 68.30 million units to date. That's five times the number its predecessor the Wii U (13.52 million units) accumulated during its entire lifetime."

How many parents are buying Switches to distract their at-home children? 😅

@33MHz A valid question this year. One of the few that have benefited from all the COVID-19 shenanigans is undoubtedly the video game makers.

@Streakmachine apparently SEGA has not been doing well, but Nintendo is flourishing. I think it said 70% over last year. $2B profit.

@33MHz Indeed. SEGA still has somewhat spotty quality releases, and what little hardware they do I can only imagine does not bring in huge bacon. Still love them, though.

@Streakmachine @33MHz I say Nintendo is the only gaming company that's truly benefiting from the pandemic continuing their dominance from last year.

@33MHz seems more like adults who are buying switches to distract themselves from their at-home lives! :D

@nitinkhanna so you're saying everyone is buying switches for everyone...
869068
@33MHz you get a switch, and you get a switch, and you get a switch!

@nitinkhanna hahaha, yeah, Oprah bought all the stock.

@33MHz Never owned any video game in my whole life but it is fun to play Mario Kart with the step-kids, they can remotely invite my sister to play and somehow all four of us can play too. Don’t understand how it works!

@mandy I’m a bit surprised that you haven’t touched a game, it’s not too late to start!

@33MHz dusted off the Nintendo Wii, still fun games to play.
