@blumenkraft Thanks ๐ I don't know, but somehow I prefer Pnut to ADN :D It's by far the most "gemütlich" social network ever and you can have great conversations! @33MHz
@blumenkraft@der_Jeff Hmm I see. I think this might be one of the reasons I prefer this place actually ๐ Also, it's possible that we just have too few users... :) Like in evolution, where diversity is only assured when you got a huge genetic pool ๐@33MHz
@33MHz that’s a possibility, but then you generically only get diversification by mutations which takes generations, instead immigration is a lot faster ๐๐๐ So we just need more users to join :P /@der_Jeff@blumenkraft
@unixb0y If I may be a pedant for a moment (try and stop me) it isn’t a huge pool that gives you genetic diversity, it is outbreeding. @33MHz@der_Jeff@blumenkraft
@jeremycherfas yeah you're right, but that creates a larger more differentiated pool ๐ And I wanted to create a more social-network-applicable example. ๐ @33MHz@der_Jeff@blumenkraft
@unixb0y@blumenkraft@der_Jeff@33MHz Think about it; Twitter is a very large pool indeed, but in one person’s circle things are likely to be very uniform.
@jeremycherfas i have 400 follower on Twitter. you think there is a reaction coming when posting something? no way. never. i doubt people really using it. /@33MHz@der_Jeff@unixb0y
@papierzeit@blumenkraft That’s not what I was saying. I said that if there is a response, it is more likely to be of the same mindset. Twitter is far more of a bubble or echo-chamber.
@blumenkraft That's true! ^^ Though there are some little "communities" of people there, but usually it's only a bunch who all follow each other and do conversate. @jeremycherfas@33MHz@der_Jeff
@33MHz Unfortunately, I don't know a whole lot about Italian culture. Born and raised in Germany, German school etc. so esp. wrt to more historical stuff I know nothing :-/ @jws@blumenkraft@der_Jeff
