@joe How does dropping a couple gateways make them more (or less) closed-source than they were before?

FWIW there’s a Weechat plugin built on the Slack API, and the standalone slack-term [github.com], if you still want Slack in your terminal.

@tewha I feel the same about Slack, but I'd say it's misuse of slack. I assume IRC isn't misused as much because of its thorny nature.
