My ladder fell and I broke my ankle badly! currently in hospital with a fancy splint. I think we're waiting for ct scans and then we'll test me on crutches.

@33MHz sounds terrible

@mandy sounds like some fragments/chipping, but primarily 3 bones broken. Fibula a few inches up, and then two of three bones around the ball.

Maybe only 3 months to heal? I'm hopeful.

@thedoctor @igmp_join @esilena @mandy @Joe @retrophisch Ketamine really spun me around! They said "think happy thoughts" and I thought "rehabbing my house"…

@33MHz if that is your happy place or adventure you chose then sure. No place like home! I had a patient recount his vivid trip to Mars after a ketamine sedation. @retrophisch @Joe @mandy @esilena @igmp_join

Letting swelling go down in a splint until Tuesday, then we find out next steps. Should have surgery with screws.
1211587
@33MHz That sounds horrible, I have to wonder what was the time frame for recovery after operation?
1211668
@33MHz Oh no 😱 Hope you feel better
1211624
