Upgrading my #NetBSD VMs to 10.0:

Building 10.0 binary packages for my amd64 VPS, itself soon to be 10.0.

My uptimes are fallen. Worthy sacrifices all.

14 years ago I forged a sequence of emails "importing" #qmail into #netbsd, suggesting we'd soon switch over, to some Very Concerned Responses.

Today, it wouldn't be a good prank. License, integration, and functionality would fit nicely.

Long con :-)

Bootstrapping #pkgsrc on #pinebook. Just playing around before installing #NetBSD.

Do you use #pkgsrc on non-#NetBSD? Do you _not_ run #qmail?

Great! Please update to pkgsrc-current and test two packages for me: https://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-users/2018/12/17/msg027809.html

Server upgrade to #NetBSD 8 complete. VPS host’s custom kernel removed `pseudo-device npf`, so I had to learn about `/etc/modules.conf` (and will set up later to boot my own in-filesystem kernel). Otherwise absolutely nothing else interesting. Perfect!
