Time for some silent hotel-room streaming. We'll start with updating the #pkgsrc package of #Python#ApprovalTests, then we'll find other things to do for however long naptime lasts.
I'm getting along learning #Python fine. I think the first major usage of the language, once I get what I feel to be substantial knowledge, will be for data visualization. Thanks to the Sensei DeOs aka @bayprogrammer for the help thus far!
Day 2: Worked through #Python strings - changing case using methods, concatenation, stripping whitespace. Have to complete the whitespace code exercise b4 moving on. Worked on the data input code of my rocket liftoff acceleration program #100DaysOfCode
Started Ch. 2, Variables & Simple Data types, in the textbook & practiced executing some simple #Python code. Worked on the data input section of my rocket liftoff acceleration code. Still not working - only the 1st variable label prints - input( ) issue.
After watching this video: https://youtu.be/m1miwCJtxeM I'm thinking about getting a Feather M0 :D It's definitely not cheap for a MCU (a Pi 3 A+ is 25€, the M0 is 20) but…. it's just so cool π Arduino on Steroids #micropython#python
D8 - #100DaysOfCode. Continued today with #Python strings on Codecademy, but covered those and methods in the Python Crash Course by Eric Mathes, over the last two days. With that, I started coding my personal Python project today!
I have looked at MANY tutorials on the internet, and most of them just do not really work well. I recently found Real Python [realpython.com] for #Python tutorials. These are well written, and easy to understand. They would be great for beginners, and I recommend them!
I am trying to refactor my code so I can split out my subprocess call and reuse the subprocess in different functions. This does not seem to work right though. Any pointers? #python
