Because of that, water will spill around the primary pipe until adequate pressure opens the drain hose and water flows through it. Nothing wrong with the pump itself.

Anyone have ideas for dealing with a sump pump that is constantly draining out of the overflow? The hose I attached flattens if water isn't running through it. I think that is creating a pressure gradient that needs to be overcome for water to flow through

@33MHz I am currently watching Reacher. I may start season two of Halo but this interpretation of the story doesn’t interest me as much.
