Push for Mastodon is sooooo much more complex... It actually required Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman to get a shared secret and make sure that no one in the middle can read contents.

Mastodon is a whole other animal… API is very different: you register your app on the fly. Sounds crazy to me. Let’s see.
