@igmp_join depending on the style, higher the IBU the better. Sometimes a style could be better with a lower or mid-range IBU. I like very bitter pale ales.
@jacobrealo oh I am totally not with you. I cannot stand bitter. Sweet, salty, sour, savory, whatever, are fine and often desirable. Bitter is not for me. So when they list the IBU, I have a very easy time of determining if I'll even vaguely like it.
