The more I learn about serverless functions, the less I understand them.

Case in point: both AWS and GCP say they can re-use the runtime and GCP is extremely pointed about this and that you shouldn't create an expensive resource each time.

@mikehoss A Perl-using nerd buddy of mine said serverless is simply cgi-bin with a new name.
