I made my first private GitHub repo today. I guess I no longer have to use Dropbox to save private code?! :)

@nitinkhanna I'll surely use it. It's tempting just to do that with a bunch of my "inactive" repos, just to declutter my profile.

@33MHz that's a good usecase too! Though I recently came across a repo and asked a question about it and the dev realized it's too old so they archived it. Read-only and no issues can be made. Interesting solution!
537610
@nitinkhanna Yeah, archiving is an option, but a lot of repos simply have no benefit to the *creator* while they might have some benefit to a random passer-by... Tempts the creator to just shut off that potential annoyance. :}

@nitinkhanna while I might identify some repos as having "public good", and even if I think that's good to pay attention to, I might still kill the ones I don't identify as public good.

@nitinkhanna Hi! Are you one of the first to use GitHub's 3 free repos? I only saw the news today. Kinda excited for some reason. :)
538138
@bazbt3 I don't think it's limited to 3 free repos... It's unlimited free private repos!
538164
@nitinkhanna Damnit, I missed that bit out. Daft Baz is still daft. :D

@nitinkhanna Heh! I posted this earier, crucially using the word 'free':

@33MHz (sighs) Remind me not to post about stuff until I've read more about the topic eh. :)

@bazbt3 Sometimes it's good to be wrong.
538174
@33MHz I'll be sat over here, admiring my handiwork. :)
538176
@bazbt3 Ah, you're looking at the wiki again, then? ;)
538177
@33MHz Heh! If I can find a way to do stuff on this tiny screen (or the easy way using that rather interesting bot.)
538184
@bazbt3 could be easier now.

538241
@bazbt3 ah, good reading material.
538243
@bazbt3 Our little bot is a regex spaghetti western.
538244
@33MHz It's amazingly easy now for trivial edits! Wow!
