Tea and Daredevil?

Got #Netflix again, basically to watch s3e3 of Daredevil (though we'll watch the episodes leading up to it, too). Bummed by their continuing decline in old movies. All the stakeholders are pulling their movies for in-house streaming.

Or like Disney did with their "Vault", only releasing their classic movies once every 5 years or something. Arr.

@33MHz Disney+ for example. Coming in 2019!

@33MHz I feel the fragmentation is going to drive people back to piracy eventually.

@33MHz This is why I still have their DVD plan. It still has basically everything.
501641
@anth yeah. :/ I know it's niche, but I actually wish they still had a DVD-only plan.
501658
@33MHz I believe you can mix-and-match as you like. Or did they change that since I checked?

@anth OH - I didn't realize: when you sign up, DVD isn't even an option - it just gives you 3 tiers of streaming. But if you go in Account, you can Change Plan or Add DVD Plan. So they are unrelated, requiring the $8+ streaming plan and $5+ DVD plan.

@33MHz Confirmed, stand-alone plans are a thing.

If I was more disciplined with returning things promptly, I could go down to the 1-at-a-time plan and save myself $4/month... :-/
501880
@anth oh, you're right. Not on the front page at all. Only found in the Help Center

@anth yeah. Minimum $8 for 1-at-a-time is a bit higher than I'd like. But I'd probably like it more than the streaming options! Hm.
501885
@anth though it might not be much less convenient to use the library. :)
