47 years and 2 months in, I gave in and got progressive lenses. Right now I feel like I’ve lost more than I’ve gained, but let’s see after a week. I’m most concerned about my computer acuity, which is between reading and far acuity. #old

@i70dan that’s tough. Reading music and seeing the conductor, or looking at a monitor and also a machine, that seems like no matter where you move your head something will be blurry.

@mandy yeah if it gets bad I could get glasses for the computer, I suppose.

@i70dan drugstore glasses might be good enough for a single purpose?

@mandy my eyes might be different enough to make that difficult, but no sense not trying.

@i70dan I am about to try some myself also with blue light and glare protection.

@i70dan a couple years ago I got glasses in general… I do need them, but I'm still transitioning. The loss/gain is a surprise to me.

@33MHz I wonder if losing my nearsightedness to LASIK hastens the farsightedness of middle age. Bring on the LASIK for all distances!!
