@blumenkraft Wenn ich das ja wusste… Die sind hier völlig verrückt mit den Impfungen, das geht alles so langsam. So wie das jetzt aussieht bin ich erst dran wenn ich meinen 50en Geburtstag feiere (das wäre in 3.5 Jahre…) Ist nur ein Witz, oder doch nicht?
@joe@saket Yes, our vaccination strategy is a little odd to say the least. As for the teenage troubles, it’s almost impossible to get away from those invasive videos, memes, etc, even if life wasn’t largely digital as it is right now.
@joanna I know! Haha, yes, even if there was not the constant onslaught of unsolicited bull****, she’d still be a teenager, though possibly a far less angsty one. I was just so furious about it all, I *had* to write the blog post just to get it out.
@joe Hi, great to hear from you! I hope you’re feeling better yourself? Yes, everyone – my parents, Saket’s dad, and 2 of my closest friends – have now been vaccinated, and @Saket had his first shot this morning. I’m still waiting…
@33MHz 2 is a great age! I would love to be able to do something constructive when I get woken up early but I just can’t muster the energy. After 13 years of interrupted sleep, I would like to get back to being my regular morning person self!
@33MHz@claudettek I have one like that: if any one of us is awake, even just to get up for a quick sip of water, he wants to be there for it. And sometimes he wants us to be there for it when he’s awake… 😂
@joanna Ugh. Yes, plenty of those here too, which is funny, since most of the no-vax folks haven’t even been offered one yet. But they badly want to be seen as not being “sheep” or whatever so they *pre-emptively* refuse. I can’t even with these people.
@joe You’re a good person! We do what we can. I feel like we’re lucky because we can still afford to do this. Eating out and ordering in or getting take out is mostly pretty expensive in the Netherlands.
As much as we are able to afford it, we will order in from them every few weeks. My point: if you can at all manage, support your local businesses, your favorite restaurants that deliver – even if you only buy or order from them every so often. (2/2)
