matrix and irc

For the most part I really enjoy using Matrix for chat. But the IRC bridge, particularly with Freenode, is really really irritating. Especially getting kicked from Matrix rooms that are bridged because my IRC connection has been "idle" for too long. So I find myself falling back to IRC where I would rather use Matrix because of the bridge can cause more problems that it solves. …
