I will say, the universal decision to reinterpret the "gun" emoji as a squirt gun in the first place is remarkable. There could just as easily be a separate water gun emoji. Trying to control uncontrollable symptoms. And what about the eggplant?
@33MHz one of my coworkers asked that the eggplant emoji be removed from work slack because they had recently found out that it had inappropriate connotations and they had used it in a way that got misinterpreted, feared that others would do the same.
@igmp_join just add an AI layer to every communication, fed by the latest TikTok trends and darkweb forums, that verifies if you intended to post what might be interpreted as offensive or sensitive.
There are still bombs and kitchen knives. And then there's the flags. Why they engaged in this sensitivity is beyond me. Silly that we have new characters being developed.
