@shawn Yessir! Current plan is to follow the advice given by John Romero (start with simple old-style arcade games you're familiar with). Nothing ground-breaking, but gotta start my journey somewhere! 😅
Started a pong game previously using the game engine my business partner and I are building. I was using C with an early version of the engine, but now we have Lua. Either will port my work to Lua or update the C code for latest engine iteration.
@bayprogrammer nice! I’ve been researching game development recently too; found a real avalanche of YouTube content (not all great) but this guy [youtu.be] stood out, super informative and clear.
It’s still a dream at this point, but I’ll make something with Godot
