@33MHz Hi Robert, and thanks (again) for the welcome*. How the heck are you and the familyβ€½

*More than I deserve. :)
1213206
@bazbt3 oh man, I have a Bible of crazy things that have happened to me this year alone), but have a seat a while, it'll get distilled.
1213207
@33MHz Go for it, I'm all ears.
1213209
@bazbt3 making myself like a TLDR of references :)
1213210
@bazbt3 it's been a week since I broke my leg. Posting updates to a chat room [beta.pnut.io].

Twins in January, though! They're crawling now. :)

@bazbt3 babies, houses, and broken bones.

@33MHz

9: *Just* broke your legβ€½ What's the anticipated recovery?

5: That sucks, I hope you found another job!

I remember you undertaking various projects for family; you've been even more involved in the wider area since? Accidental?

1: Babies! :)

@bazbt3 we're still getting it stabilized. Saturday night they splinted it, but Tuesday x-rays showed bones were shifting in the splint, so they put pins through the bones Wednesday. The idea is "6 weeks for bones to heal", but that timer hasn't started.
1213219
@bazbt Tuesday I'll see the doc again, and hopefully we'll set a date for another surgery, after which the timer starts. :)
1213220
@bazbt3 It's something like 3 months recovery, we think.
1213221
@bazbt3 they want one plate and a bunch of screws to hold bones in places to heal. And not clear when/if the metal will come back out.
1213222
@33MHz Ouch. I hope you're able to… honestly it's beyond my experience. :/ Are you able to *do* much in this 'immobile' state? How will you stay sane :) given what I imagine is your usual activity levelβ€½
1213228
@bazbt3 well I'm veeeery tired. So I sleep a lot. haha. And I actually want to sleep, which is remarkable. Opioids might make me want to do nothing more? But I am pretty content with our lives not being destroyed after all this… family doing OK.
1213232
@bazbt3 extended family and church have been helping out a lot, too. This whole week I had a dumpster over at the house, and Dad has been filling it with demolition from the new house, with friends.
1213234
@33MHz I hope you can adjust from being a major cog in the support network to being supported. Not sure this makes sense?
1213330
@bazbt3 still unemployed! Pretty crazy. I managed to appeal unemployment insurance and so I'm getting a little money every week, which has been much better than nothing…
1213223
@bazbt3 last year someone gave me a house down the street. Super old, cute, historic, in terrible shape. I've done a little work just to keep it alive, but it needs a lot more.
1213226
@bazbt3 Meanwhile, family of 8 no longer fits in our 3-bedroom house! The house across the street from me went for a very low price, so we jumped at it. Been pulling plaster out of it since May.
1213227
@33MHz that’s someone’s entire life you experienced in a year 😱
1213255
@ravisorg returns not accepted!
