With their small dimensions, the #minigarden s let me do many small (sorry!) experiments in gardening, with tolerable losses and the effects showing immediately. Soil composition, rhizosphere, nutrients, light, water, all can be observed and tweaked.
Joking aside, I found that the #minigarden dries out too much in the sun, and good soil gets washed away from water. Out of an intuition, I was looking for some fine moss to plant on, but found there's loads of it in the garden anyway.
Trying to eat a healthy snack from my garden(s) every day now. There's plenty of supply on the ground, only the #minigarden has slowed growth a bit. Maybe needs some fresh soil...
Soil compaction also got better, although I can't really dig in such a small pot. The moss cover on the top soil seems to be a good thing; replicated it to the smaller #minigarden.
Plants in the #minigarden got better after the heavy sunshine made way for some days of rain. They didn't have much to withstand the sun, maybe have to chose a different location for the next ones.
Thinking about stacking papercubes filled with soil. Now I can increase the surface only by lifting the height, but can't get beyond one planted element per ground area (2.5D surface). Maybe can increase yield beyond that. #papercube#minigarden
