@blumenkraft Dogs run a bit hotter than humans, so maybe he thinks I can cool him. They don’t cool by sweating - the fur still insulates but doesn’t obstruct cooling as it would for humans. In fact, if there’s a lot of radiant heat, it will protect them.

i knew about the 'not sweating' part. they regulate temperature via their tongue and breathing faster (evaporation chill) IIRC.

@blumenkraft Yes. He also spends more time sitting on the stone floor in the basement when it’s hot.

@Indigo Minimi also sits on the floor rather than higher places when it's hot. the cool(er) air is on the bottom. :)
