Look what I found on the bike to work! That's a ridiculous, inexplicable spider web holding a cicada in the middle of the street. I almost ran into it, thought it was a leaf in my periphery.
My running theory is there was a large web upstairs somewhere, the cicada got wrapped in it, and the web stretched all the way down here. It's quite thick line. But it seems so unlikely. The cicada weights very little /@joseph@wife
