There's a dirty hack going on, but I haven't observed the problem. You actually have 1 unread?

@lechindianer oh, but can you confirm it's actually unread? e.g., from https://beta.pnut.io/messages ?

Afaik the indicator is erroneous, and there aren't new messages when it pops up.
