This is yesterday's 3rd floor joist sistering. Still needs to be tightened up, and the West end needs to be shaved down a little (warped), but the hard work is done. #house_rehab
@joanna I don't /think/ there was a fire in this house, though it's 130+ years old, so it's certainly possible. There has been black on bricks, but it was tar from the roof afaik. These joists just need sistering for the weight of the skylight.
