My Irish friend it pisssssed that she can't get her water properly boiled. And I'm pretty sure it's just because NA doesn't have their power system built around boiling water faster. Whereas the British Isles does.

(I stick a liter-sized Pyrex container into the microwave. Seven minutes and seventy-seven seconds later, I have water for tea.)

@adiabatic @igmp_join a cup of water gets tea-hot for me in 1 Min in the microwave. But during cold days (most of the time I drink tea) I prefer heating it on the gas stove, so it warms the room and humidifies the air. (and usually someone else wants it)
