Hey @Andrew would you happen to have a favourite iOS star-gazing app? Night Sky no longer works for me.

@Andrew Thanks so much. There is so much out there, a solid personal recommendation means a lot to me.

@jeremycherfas You’re welcome. I’ve tried plenty of them, this one stands out & has a good few levels of entry.

@Andrew Looks excellent, as soon as I worked out how to turn off the sappy music.

@jeremycherfas 😄 settings / appearance & behaviour.

@33MHz @joshuahedlund @igmp_join @jeremycherfas @Andrew @Wife FWIW, I’m not a heavy user, but Sky Guide won out for me —at least for my more casual use— last time I compared.

I’ve since met the people who make it, which helps a little, too.

@muncman that's cool. How'd you meet them?
426164
@33MHz It was at the Release Notes conference in Chicago. I met lots of people there who make apps I regularly use.

Drafts, Ulysses, Timing, Obscura, and the list goes on.

@33MHz If the other attendees don’t make an app I use, they probably either have a podcast I listen to or run another conference I want to attend. :)
426177
@33MHz Which probably means I’ll see you at the next one! :D
426179
@muncman ha! :D Chicago, eh? I know the city well…
426184
@muncman hm. It's not set up for 2018 yet?
426190
@33MHz They skipped this year, actually. They used to host it in Indianapolis, then moved it to Chicago last year. From what I understand it went well, but they decided to take a year off.

@Wife my friend just showed me one I think it was called Sky View? It was pretty useful, AR style.
