@mandy Ceramic cooktop with electrical elements below the "glass" cooktop. Two of the elements stopped working when over-enthusiastic cleaning got into the control switches. Go induction, more efficient. Much of the heat from gas is wasted.

@peemee you are right, I should consider induction. But we have had good experiences with gas in the past so that is still tempting.

@peemee @mandy we find we don't cook (or especially bake) as much during the Summer with gas, but that's probably appropriate.

@mandy There are far more efficient individual heating & cooking options that using gas for both. Plus a vent of some sort needs to be open while the gas is burning to maintain air quality. @33MHz
