Watched "Arrow Films" newly released and restoration of "The Thing" on Blu-ray. The #movie has never looked better. Also it's packed with extras! Steelbook yay! βΊοΈ
Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D. The Terminator 2 has never looked better with the new 2D and 3D transfer. Disappointed with the absence of the Director's Cut in this release. Especially when supervised by James Cameron and his team.
Frantic [boxd.it] is a well directed and suspenseful thriller that keep you on edge of the seat. Unfortunately the movie loses its “down to earth’’ feel that it established so good in the beginning of the film 7/10 #movie#movies#moviereview
So if it wasn't for the interior and exterior shots of the Millennium Falcon and Chewbacca, you wouldn't know "Solo: A Star Wars Story", is a Star Wars Story? π§
As a isolated sci-fi movie I enjoyed The Cloverfield Paradox story. Problem is the fact that it was (as I understand) suppose to connect the #movies. Instead it opened up whole new can of worms.
Lord of the Rings was made for $94 million per movie! This is just amazing and crazy when the recent Justice League movie cost more to make at $300 million.
Just rewatched Looper (2012) [imdb.com]. I love this movie more every time I watch it. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt and Jeff Daniels in the same #movie, whats not to like! :)
My top 10 #movies none sequel, franchise, prequel or reboot of 2018:
1. Annihilation 2. Mandy 3. A Quiet Place 4. The Shape of Water 5. Mute 6. Destroyer 7. You Were Never Really Here 8. Freak Shift 9. Bad Times at the El Royale 10. Summer of ’84
Fort Bliss [imdb.com]. Michelle Monaghan gave a stellar performance as a young medic and mother coming home from war. Addresses big issues and complex questions. Nice to see this problematic situation from a woman's side. Good movie 7/10
Just finished watching American Made [imdb.com] with Tom Cruise. Nice to see him do something else compared to cruise control. Very entertaining movie with some great camera work and well paced story. Fun. 7.7/10.
Just watched Payback theatrical version. I enjoyed the #movie, nice action and fun. Going to watch Director's Cut later, heard it should be a lot different (and better). Never watch this movie before. #movies
Why keep buying #Bluray or other physical media? On streaming services it's the lowest common denominator that is accessible, what the masses want to watch! I like having MY hardcopy in MY collection and you get extras/bonus content often!
First They Killed My Father (2017) [imdb.com] is a moving story told through the eyes of a young girl. Very well told story with subtle and carefully crafted scenes and acting! A story to be remembered. 8.7/10
