It started with priming the walls white, because the dark blue was too aggressive. Then a piece of ceiling fell from the hole above, so I tore the ceiling down. Ran the fan to new switches, and spray foamed the brick joist cavities. #house_rehab
I installed the switch work for the dining room ceiling fan+light, separate switches. Have a pigtail hanging, will install the fan temporarily tomorrow and do spray foam. #house_rehab
Yesterday a piece of the dining room ceiling fell down, so today I'm going to demo the rest of it and clean it all up. Then maybe tomorrow I'll get help and put drywall up. Will want to do some insulating first, possibly some electric. #house_rehab
Woo! I reused a door from the new house on the old house! 😆 Working towards finishing the 3fl bathroom, hopefully. I also have a lot of recovered 2x4s from the new house, that I'll use to finish the old house framing. #house_rehab
Another day, another half a 30y dumpster filled with rubble. It was very hot, very hard work. Fatigue set in around 10AM. We pushed through to noon and then basked in the A/C with drinks and lunch. #house_rehab
Finally went ahead and shimmed the kitchen counters. Going to anchor two of them to their cabinets today. The other 3 don't need to be, because they're sandwiched by the walls and things. #house_rehab
Last month one of the decorative window frames blew in from severe wind! Look at this live-edge 150 year-old wooden window sill. They don't make them like that anymore. XD
