@shawn to my business associates, but you can call me Shawn Throop.

The Facts

Listen to the gossip.

A Canadian idiot dancing with Saarländisches Staatstheater. When I manage my time right, I double as a self taught iOS developer.

Shiny is better.

@thedoctor ooh nice, that does sound like a fun and filled weekend.

Back on 5 day weeks so I have a weekend again. Tomorrow’s a long walk/lake visit day for the dog, then massage and foreign paperwork stuff on Monday. Some coding mixed in there too

@33MHz amazing! Fires are just the best. Though, not something I regularly get to do while living next to city hall haha
1013777
@33MHz @kabuku yup, it’s some of the best stunts in the business built on top of a fun lore/world. If you’re tired of obvious CGI laden stuff, this is a nice reprieve. Also, great casting

What are people up to this weekend? I don’t have rehearsals today so I’m treating myself to a fun breakfast out before I spend the day cleaning.

I really enjoy what I do professionally but this season has been really not what I signed up for. It’s making life really tough these days
1011693
@rafaelcosta I like it! Though, I’m always a fan of being a bit more upfront about what went wrong especially if there’s an error code or message available. Fun information rather than either alone

Back in Deutschland. Dijon ham croissant breakfast/midnight snack. Such a lovely welcome, but it turns out the trains are on strike. Could have been messy

On the way back to Europe. I can’t wait to sleep in my own place again but Huey’s gonna be sad not to be around everyone here in Canada. It’s a little frightening how his mood effects mine haha
1004791
@33MHz oh yeah, back to them germs over there. I do miss my own bed.
1004210
@mikehoss this was me with raspberry jam and swimming hahaha. Sounds lovely though
1004113
Was going to hang out here more but family time took priority. It’s been amazing watching Huey get better in the water. He’s gone from scared of waves to jumping out of kayaks to swimming out after me. All within a month.

Last days in Canada, work starts next week. Ugh, it’s been a really nice break though
1004106
Off to a good start. Weeks ago I ran into a really obscure error and had to rage quit Xcode. Opened it again today and almost did the same.

Note to self: don't import XCTest unless it's going to be used for testing... 🤦‍♂️

@33MHz yup, back on the east coast after two years away
995708
I've been ashamed how many times I've dropped the ball over the years. I'm afraid to promise anything but I'm more afraid of failing to ship something. I made some huge progress just before my holidays started and now I want to follow through.
995707
I've thought about the future a lot and working on Prose is a big priority for me over the next 12 months. I desperately want to ship a new app and finally make something I'm proud of again.
995706
Hey all, I've been taking some time with family. Though, starting today, I have a bit more time to be online and to work on some side projects like @Prose. I got super lucky this summer, I get to code at the cottage.

@Kabuku it’s weird watching a subset of society have zero problems returning to complete openness. Took the first step and ate at a restaurant this week, first time since March 2020. Real strange but really special to sit and laugh with people again
977463
@Kabuku ya, everything’s just a bit off. As I approach 2 weeks since vaccination it’s weird to be starting to do normal things again. Old routines made new again.

Booked my flights back to Canada yesterday. It’s actually going to happen but I t doesn’t feel real yet after such an unstable year and a bit.
