For those of you who knew @kdfrawg on ADN, it saddens me to report his passing after a lengthy and difficult illness. He and his longtime partner, Laura, married a few days ago knowing that time was short. He will be greatly missed by all.

@33MHz Holding up OK, one day at a time. I don't think I posted it here, but my brother committed suicide on Sept. 12 and I'm dealing with the fallout from that. But life for the rest of us goes on, and the recent fires didn't affect my wife and I to any great degree, although some family friends lost a couple of outbuildings on their ranch. @tewha @literary @randolph …

For those who remember @kdfrawg from ADN, a message from his partner, Laura: @KDFrawg had his catheterization today. They learned that he has a serious blockage in the artery that fuels his heart with 90% of its blood so he’s having bypass surgery tomorrow. 6 hour surgery. His cardiologist is excellent. The surgeon tomorrow is chief of cardio-thoracic surgery at temple u hospital. He’s supposed to be the best at least in the country. We’re very lucky that he’s there. Then 5 days recovery. They’re taking him at 6 AM. At least he doesn’t have to wait!…
