Listen to the gossip.
I am proud to be a Geek and a Maker.
I break things.
I design and build cool robots!
I build with Arduino (and compatibles), Raspberry Pi, and nVidia Jetson. I program in Python, CircuitPython, and C/C++.
Shiny is better. ⇄
Temperature : 86.4°F / 30.2°C
Humidity : 55.1%
This is in my room at 12:02 AM PDT.
It looks like it would be pretty easy to get into Rust from Python and be able to use both. I still have a lot to learn about Rust and then write some code of my own before I can look into the embedded stuff.
I have been listening to and watching a 35 part video series from Microsoft about Rust. The videos are very short though and are usually under five minutes. I am seeing things I like and some things I am still unsure about.
I ordered new glasses today!!
I will be able to get them next payday.
@lechindianer Yes, but there is nothing I can do. I thought Adafruit was different, and then they show me how they really are. I do not like that. They have now banned me from their entire website because of a tweet I posted.
Now, all I want to do is to kick Adafruit right where it will hurt the most.
I had the strangest test on my body yesterday. It is a VNG (Videonystagmography [medlineplus.gov]. They put some weird goggles on me and have me do various things while they measure the movements of my eyes. It takes about two hours and is quite involved.
It is 105.1° F (41.1° C) with 28.6% relative humidity in my room right now.
In Windows 10 how do I edit files that are on a serial device when the device does not present a disk drive? I am talking about things like my tinyPico and Teensy 4.0 boards.
I need around $400.00 worth of parts for projects but that is not going to happen anytime soon. I am still replacing things that were lost, stolen, or damaged. I especially need new breadboards because these that I have are much lower quality.
@Wife I have also seen the movie several times and it is still good. I have the audiobook version of the entire trilogy but I was not really into the other books.
The month has just started and I already have more month than money. I can not even afford necessities. I need to get Charli groomed because her nails are way too long and she is starting to get caught on things.
I have two 2-axis joysticks connected to an MCU, but the X-axis on the right stick is showing a constant 3.3 volts. I just resoldered all the pins which did not help. It is also possible I might have a bad breadboard. It could also be a bad joystick.
Yes, that is good. I want something that is fixable to be found somewhere, so I can go back to having what I tentatively call a life. I would like to be able to go out without being terrified of falling and getting badly hurt.
I just got the results of my MRI. Everything is normal. I have an MRA on the 9th to look at my brain. What they find might scare them!
I have been fiddling with analog joysticks today. I have two of them. I am eventually going to have a little wireless robot controller.
I just got back from having an MRI.
@33MHz My two spools of filament are on the way to me!
I tinkered with Micropython a bit tonight using one of my tinyPico [tinypico.com] boards. I have WiFi working now, which gives me a skeleton script to use whenever I need networking.
I am VERY close to starting to write autonomous behavior software for this robot!
