@igmp_join I probably won't open the ceiling until all the activity has stopped. A lot easier that way. It's an unbehaving colony (swarming), so it's not great stock. But I did put a box out there with comb and lemongrass, so they may move when I make them
I got all the bees out and sealed the floor where they were coming into the interior living space. So now I only have a long-term crisis brewing. 😉 I'll try to attach a trap-out to the outside wall, and over a few weeks hopefully they'll migrate away.
And then this afternoon, the kids told me there's a bunch of bees in the 3rd floor. Well sure enough, there's like 100 bees at the window. Uh oh! Yep, there's some sort of holes in the brick up there, and there's a colony living in my floor/ceiling now!
It wasn't a terrible experience, though. I learned more about their hitches, the rental was really friendly and I learned their ropes, and I learned more about my neighbor's death trap of a car.
So this morning I tried to rent a chipper. But they wouldn't take my first friend's truck's hitch. Then we couldn't get my second friend's hitch's electric to work. So after a couple hours, I had to call it off. 😅
justwatch.com is awfully helpful these days, with movies coming out and then being on only one service, say. Independent movies, can't tell where they'll go.
